Most of you know this amazing story but for the sake of the wedding lets tell it again.

Corey and Jessica are engaged. Corey planned a trip to Chicago to pick up a new car. Jessica had told Corey that before he bought his next car she should have a proof of ownership ring. Not a proposal just proof that she wasn't available. Corey and Jess went to pick up the new car, had lunch and took a trip to the viewing deck of the Willis/Sears Tower. Corey was acting very strange on the viewing deck and Jess thought it was because he is afraid of heights. Corey kept nudging Jess to step onto one of the glass boxes that overlook the city but to many tourists kept getting in the way. Finally Corey takes Jessica off to the side, gets on one knee and says "I told you that before I bought a new car I would buy you a ring. Will you marry me?". Of course Jessica was shocked and said "Yes".

The funniest part about the proposal was hearing Corey's story as to how he snuck the ring past the metal detectors going up to the viewing deck. When Corey and Jess got in line, Corey suddenly had to use the bathroom. He had the ring in his pocket and didn't want to take it out in front of Jess to pass through the metal detector. He went to the bathroom and hid the ring in his shoe. When Corey went through the metal detectors he set off the alarms. While Corey was being wanded by security he was asked if he had steel toed boots on. Corey whispered "No I have and engagement ring in my shoe.". The security guard continued to search Corey and Corey repeats "I have and engagement ring in my shoe." The security guard says "Yeah, I heard you." and let Corey go on his way. Lucky for Corey, Jessica was oblivious to the whole situation.

Corey and Jessica have chosen to make a weekend celebration  of their wedding. They have invited each one of you to join them for a meet and greet the night before the wedding August 26, 2011 at 7:00 PM. The meet and greet will be held at the Courtyard Marriott 222 S. Broadway Ave, Boise Idaho in the courtyard. Drinks and food will be served. At this time you will meet other guests and socialize with the wedding party. The catering for the meet and greet will be done by the fabulous 3 Girls Catering. Some of the delicious items on the menu include

• Red pepper hummus with spiced flatbread


• Mediterranean Chicken Salad in lettuce cups


• Baked brie with grape clusters, berries and focaccia crackers


• Mini bite sized Italian stallion finger sandwiches with Italian meats, sliced provolone & Pesto Mayo 

Drinks will be provided by the Bistro located at the Courtyard Marriott.

Corey and Jess are very excited to get married at Sawtooth Winery in Nampa, Idaho. Corey took Jessica wine tasting in Nampa Idaho for their first vacation 4 years ago. Sawtooth Winery is beautiful and holds a special place in Corey and Jessica's lives.

Please be informed that Sawtooth Winery is only about 30 miles away from the Courtyard Marriott but it takes about 1 hour to drive there. Plan one full hour of traveling time if you plan to drive yourself to the wedding.

For those of you not driving and using the transportation services (A party bus) please plan on leaving the hotel at 3:30 PM and driving one hour to the vineyard. This will allow you time to, sign the guest book and settle in your seats before the wedding ceremony begins at 5:00 PM.

Once the wedding ceremony is over 3 Girls Catering will begin serving cheese and fruit and the bar will open. Guests are asked to enjoy the cheese, wine and beer while the wedding party takes pictures.

Dinner will be served at 6:00 PM by 3 Girls Catering. At this time The new Mr. and Mrs. Shuman will start the dinner buffet. 3 Girls was chosen because of their food presentation so be sure to take a good look. Dinner includes lemon thyme chicken, tri-tip steak, asparagus, red potatoes and berry Gorgonzola salad.

After dinner will be your typical wedding bash involving toasting, cake cutting, bouquet and garter tossing, drinking and dancing. Jessica is really excited about a grooms cake she had designed for Corey. Lets hope she gets to see his face when he sees it for the first time.

Once your belly is full, your feet are tired from the dancing and you have had enough liquor to feel a bit buzzed or drunk we will end the party. The party bus will load and you will be returned safely with the bride and groom to The Courtyard Marriott. This is anticipated to happen between 9:30 and 10:00 PM.

It took a long time for Corey to decide where to take his new wife on their honeymoon and has settled on Grenada. They will be staying at the raved about Maca Bana boutique hotel. This is a compilation of 7 private banas named after fruits of the island. Their hotel provides private decks with hot tubs overlooking the ocean. The Shumans wish to visit the Seven Sisters Falls, have private cooking lessons, be pampered on their sun deck and explore the island of Grenada. If Corey and Jess are not refreshed after twelve days in the Caribbean, then it is impossible for the couple to experience true rejuvenation.
